Finch? by pandorasecho

Finch?

I think this is a female goldfinch. She surprised me by not moving from my Rhodie bush until I dug the camera out of my pocket and took her picture.

Gorgeous,

Beautiful. I think it does look like a goldfinch. I know during breeding season they turn really yellow. I have noticed that my goldfinches are starting to get their gold feathers.

No, that's not a Goldfinch. It's a warbler. It looks a lot like the Yellow-throated Warbler but your state is not in its range, so that's throwing me off a bit. But it sure looks like the picture in my Audubon book! Anyway- I'm certain it's not a Goldfinch, but it is a nice shot!!

aren't you lucky? birds see me and they just disappear, even the stupid pigeons, but not the stupid seagulls! i like this, she's almost like a chameleon trying to blend in. maybe it's thinking: if i don't move maybe that camera lady won't notice me!

Looks more like a warbler to me. I'm still waiting for them to arrive in our area. What a great catch of this little camouflage artist!
