@maggiemae@sturnus the bears are something I haven't seen either, but I find grass matted down and surrounded by a circle of half eaten apples, then back away a bit I find about a gallon of "applesauce" bear scat with peelings and stems still visible. The rest of the year maybe a trash can in the neighborhood is knocked down with teeth marks in the lid but they are pretty quiet. But once a neighbors goat was eaten, in her barn
Our neighbor has an apple trees but fortunately no bears around here :o! What an amazing story! You are so lucky to have an apple tree....Isn't it around time for Johnny Appleseed's birthday? I love seeing the same tree throughout the years in your collage...What a treasure. :)
