Moss by pandorasecho

Moss

Look at the bark of a redwood, and you see moss. If you peer beneath the bits and pieces of the moss, you'll see toads, small insects, a whole host of life that prospers in that miniature environment. A lumberman will look at a forest and see so many board feet of lumber. I see a living city.
Sylvia Earle

There is an old cemetery on the university campus in Eugene Oregon. That is where I wandered and photographed while my husband did the music festival.
This has more than one pattern on it - words (must be a gravestone) and framing with the ivy and design with the moss! lovely!

It has a sadness to it as the moss has grown over the name. The ivy is pretty though- and the greens of the moss and ivy are sort of hopeful. Nice shot.
