I love the best features of my house, and this could fool you into thinking it was all wonderful, but if you like the sunny side only, don't look at yesterday
Dixie, it doesn't escape my attention that this "good house" collage contains lots of picture with people in them. And isn't that what makes a house a home? You've really captured the way you use that old house. It's evident everywhere in here. Your yard where you take your dog, barbeque, let the kids (and maybe mom and dad too) camp out... I love the color you've chosen for your sunny dining room, and the array of photos on one of your walls. The night shot with the glow of light in the window also gives a wonderful cozy feeling to the house. Bravo! You really rocked this challenge you gave yourself.
@swilde I love your typo, I keep reading it as Friendlit, and I think that is how I'm going to think of this place from now on.
@mcsiegle Both of your long, thoughtful comments really made me smile. I've gone back and reread them several times and I have to say that you made me reassess how I feel about where I am at this point in life. I was feeling like a maintenance failure and now I feel like I actually succeeded in creating a home even unawares. Thank you for the time you took.
