I love substitute teaching. I love getting to do the fun things the tests don't address and getting out of the paperwork and meetings. Taking a long term sub job means better paychecks and a chance to get closer to some kids and co-workers, but today for the first time since November 17, the teacher to this class came back from maternity leave and I got to sleep in (until sunrise) and pad outside in my slippers to catch this shot, and then do the laundry and some writing and not set foot at a school.
