World wide minute 2015

I am sitting by my husband but he is playing computer games and I am listening to the rain and reading a book, here on the Oregon/California Border Coast in the California Redwoods
And I instantly knew that it was your photo by the thumbnail, because I recognized your husband. (Good looking guy!). I hope he was winning his game and you were enjoying your book.

You made it in time, Dixie. Hurray! Very nice shot. It sounds very cozy to be reading a book while listening to raindrops.

reading a book and listening to the sound of raindrops, on a sunday afternoon: priceless!!

cozy and domestic. Sometimes I long for days of rain (alternating with lots of dry too, of course), just because it's so cozy to be inside or in the car when it's raining outside.

@happypat I only heard about it about eight minutes before it happened, so no planning involved this time.

@scooter My Dad was one of 12 kids born and raised in McKeesport. Pirates and Penguins and Steelers and Old Frothinslosh reign at our house.

@pandorasecho So cool!!! I live in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. :) Grew up in Pittsburgh. 12 kids is a lot of kids!

@scooter Dad was next to youngest, and his mom died when he was seven, his oldest sister had married and had three of her own, so Grandpa, Aunt Dorothy and her husband combined the households and raised all the littleuns. I can't imagine it myself. My husband and I were outnumbered at 2

A nice snapshot of your minute - I'm nosey and like seeing into other folk's houses. You have a nice lot of books, or maybe DVDs or similar!
March 18th, 2015
@quietpurplehaze @happypat these are videos, actually some DVD but mostly VHS but yrs, I am a reader as well as a writer, so if I die in a california earthquake at night I'll be buried in books http://365project.org/pandorasecho/365/2014-08-31

@pandorasecho

Buried in books sounds OK! Although I won't be as somehow I don't keep all my books any more.

I could be buried in books quite happily too Dixie. We have seven bookcases in our house but smaller ones than yours. Each bedroom has a book case as well as the downstairs ones but like . @quietpurplehaze I have got rid of a lot of mine to the charity shops.

@happypat

That's where mine have gone too. In the end I just felt why keep any that I would never read again, however much I'd enjoyed them.
