This is an old picture but one that came to mind as soon as I heard the word was "free" the retired greyhound racers we had from 2001 to 2013 were amazingly joyful every time they got a chance to run free.
they do love to run. my poor little lucy isn't allowed so that her knee joint continues to stabilize with cartiledge. But frankly, I think she would choose a good free run any time whatever the painful consequences.
