Lance called me yesterday and his first words were, "I'm better." It was confusing because he told me he was home with Brett and Emily, but I could hear hospital sounds in the background. So while he was insisting, "No hospital now." I was hearing the intercom saying, "can we get a nurse to room 210?"
I got a hold on Brett later and he said Lance is out of the hospital and in a rehab facility in Woodstock VA. So 2 1/2 months after this began, it isn't over yet. But he sounds delighted to be better, and delighted Pittsburgh won but sad Denver lost and focused on the larger world outside ICU again.
