@francoise you might think so, but no, I wear my oldest pair of shoes for wood hauling and beach walking but haven't owned boots since I left snow territory
@francoise that makes me smile, I've seen some really gorgeously printed boots too, but I spent my childhood struggling to buckle on boots every recess, and to go feed the chickens, or to go play in the snow or go fishing. Once I got to control my feet, I loved being able to just kick off the shoes and leave them drying by the woodstove while I lounged in slippers
