On the Dairy field trip with the preschool

They validated her determination that we can’t eat turkey because, “turkeys are real actual animals that walk and think.”

Which so far doesn’t apply to bacon, drumsticks or pork chops.

My goodness - that is a lot of calf hutches that I see in the background!
That is one big dairy farm!

@farmreporter it is very productive here, you can get a lot of cows per acre in our year round mild weather. They use the calf hutches and let 4h kids buy a calf but keep it there and take care of it there and they do a lot of field trips every spring.
