Daisy loves a Raffi song called "Everything Grows" and I have a picture book I read to her, well, sing to her, and there are several pictures of corn and kids eating corn, but she never had the teeth to try it until recently, so she helped me pick it out at the market, helped husk it, tasted the husk and silk and raw corn and was a bit ready to give up on it, then we steamed it and added butter and suddenly she was in heaven. one half cob at a time she ate 2 ears and got every last kernel. seriously picked up the three pieces that had fallen into her chair and ate them too.
