For two years my friendly neighbor cat has run away if the girl so much as peered out a window, but today it ran to greet her as she got out of the van. She sat in a chair and it jumped up behind her and rubbed against her back and let her pet it. She thinks the difference is that she was carrying a stuffed toy dog and it lives in a house with three dogs.
