Le bébé lapin

We love animals and hate seeing them suffer. Our garden is full of rabbits. They eat all the flowers, the roses, the thyme...every (good) things.
I found this little one which couldn't walk, we didn't know what it has, there was nothing we could do. So my husband had to kill it. After a mouse catched by the cat yesterday, holidays are not so happy so far. It reminds that I'm a city girl, very sensitive.
awe, so cute!! Great shot!

Oh you poor thing. Back when the boys were little we were looking after the playcentre bunny when it put its back out and couldnt move its back end. The vet said its quite common for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters etc to kick too hard and paralyse themselves. Maybe thats what happened to your bunny.

I like your photography. I have a question and maybe you can tell me the answer... You have been to my post and saw the four photos.

Before I continue on. I guess I didn't read the rules or something. Why do I have the feeling I am not allowed to post pictures unless they were taken the day the are posted? If that is the case then I can't post any more as I am not able to get out and about. I am on oxygen and in the house. Let me know because I don't want to waste time posting only to have to take them down later.
August 10th, 2010
Oh no! That is so sad. I think you did the right thing by putting the poor little thing out if its misery. :(
August 10th, 2010
Awww, poor bunny, but lucky you found it so it didn't continue to suffer.
August 11th, 2010
Oh no!! Poor thing. :((((

It makes me sad - but you really could not have tried to nurse a wild rabbit back to health.
