At Beaubourg

The infamous headbutt that French football legend Zinedine Zidane landed on an Italian during a World Cup soccer final has been transformed into a giant statue and displayed in front of the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
Hmm! Interesting! Does the statue represents a recognizable Zidane face?

Ca alors !?!... Je ne savais pas qu'il y avait une statue... incroyable... A tout hasard, sais-tu comment justifie-t-on une telle statue ? :)

@scatcat je ne me suis pas approchée... @svt de l'art Sophie ! je crois que ça se justifie par le mot "art" ;-)

what an interesting choice for a statue,i remember watching the match and thinking it was it was a shame to end such an amazing playing career in that way (i thought the italian guy deserved it a bit too)

This made the news in Australia but the pictures I saw were in much closer. The statue looked as if it was on a construction site. Now seeing your I can see what the background really is. Thankyou!

I've visited that place some years ago and I loved it. And there's also so much to see around it!

I love the lines and pop of red in this photo! The tiny people put it all in terrific perspective.
