For those who don't know or forgot the story of Chamallow.
He'll be 14 years ago in few days and belongs to a friend of mine. Since he's about 6 months old he used to spend most of the vacations with us, every summers and more. In 2013 we kept him for 8 months.
Because he's getting old and not in good health, we decided that it's better for him to stay in his family except for August because of the vacations.
So we didn't see him since last year and he's just back with us.
For the first time we're not happy to see him again. It's too hard to look at him, he's only bones and skin and looks worse than a stray cat.
Of course we're angry at my friend. We'll have an appointment at the vet next friday and I must say that we're more than worried.
I used to take thousands of pictures and he's a pretty good and patient model, but it seems hard to photograph him today.
(There's a tag "chamallow" with the dozens of pictures I uploaded on 365 since 2010)
Living between Paris and the countryside, love taking pictures, a lot of pictures...

Oh Helene, this news is heartbreaking, and it's obviously terribly distressing for you as well. At "only 14" he should still be in good health. I know you know how much I loved the pictures of Cham and loved the stories about your relationship with him. Do what you can for him, and he has my prayers for a return to better health. I'm quite sure your friends and his followers feel much the same ♥
My heart breaks to hear of Cham's condition - I know how much you love him. I hope the visit to the vet gives you some idea of what's going on with him. Please keep us posted. Hugs to you both!
This is the first time I've met Chamellow and it's certainly a beautiful cat! Sad to read of his woes though and hope the vet can offer some good advice and help. Wonderful portrait :)
I am so sorry to hear about Chamallow, and so glad he has you and your family to look out for him and take him to the vet when he needs to go. Keeping my fingers crossed that the problem is something treatable. So glad he is, at least for now, with people who really care about nonhuman animals. Thinking of him and of you!
