Sirens by parisouailleurs

Sirens

First Wednesday of each month, the sirens sound for 1 minute at noon. Since WW2 they are tested in order to warn us in case of danger.
That is so interesting, but what danger would there be now??

Good prevention plan and I hope you will only ever hear them at noon during test time! So stark looking on such a beautiful tiled roof.

@parisouailleurs well, may it always only blow at 12pm.

Hope you only hear them when they're scheduled! Now if I ever happen to be in France on the first Wednesday of the month around noon I won't be alarmed!

Ha! In rural France we get them as soon as there is an accident. They echo for miles around to call the Pompiers. Once not so urgent. Twice urgent. Three times et plus catastrope!

Sorry. It should be catastrophe!

Nice to know they are working. There is a dam near here that tests in case of flood and when you are in the woods nearby it is a bit spooky.
