On ice by parisouailleurs

On ice

Usually winters in Paris are not very cold, snow is exceptionnal, the temperatures may be around 0°C (32°F). Until few days ago the winter has been very warm. But wow, we have a huge wind coming from Russia... Temperatures at night are something like -8°C (17°F) but with an important wind from the North it fells the same in the afternoon! Brrrr. My hands are freezing but the colors and the light are too gorgeous to stay home and it's really exceptional to see the ponds frozen at Le Louvre.

Beautiful. It's very warm where I live at the moment but I can feel the poor sparrow's cold feet when I look at this photo!

Wonderful DOF. Love the contrast between the perky little bird and the lights behind him.
