@Weezilou thank you Louise. Garenne is a rabbit, not a hare. It lives with my friends / neighbors at the countryside. Their hunting dog found a nest and destroyed it and they have saved only one baby on 3. My friend had fed it with milk then food. It lives inside and does not seem to like to be in the garden so it lives inside with a litter box. Now my friend lets it be free in a room most of the time but she has to be careful because of the dogs. She is trying to find a solution and give it because it can’t be release in the wild but she does’t want it to live in a cage. If you have an instagram account, you can see many videos of Garenne (mainly cuddling and licking my hand!). Xo
@parisouailleurs I don't have an Instagram acct... I have had two pet rabbits that lived inside with us in years past. One shared the home with a beautiful Samoyed, and, inside, they were very loving of one another. My Dutch rabbit, Rembrandt, would sleep on our bed and was a delightful house pet. If your friends look for a new home for him, promote that they make lovely house pets (with a litter box!) Caveat...they are lagomorphs and they need to chew, so watch the wood furniture and books on the bottom shelf! (Ask me how I know!) A visit to the vet to have their front teeth clipped periodically helps! Good luck...He's a beauty!
