The Lone Tree

....or what's left of it....

A deliberate (mini) diversion during this week's break away.

We haven't had a summer holiday, so here we are in the Lake District enjoying the late Autumn twilight...

This is the famous "Lone Tree" on the North shore of Buttermere. Well known amongst UK photographers, sadly the "Tree" is more of a withered spindly version of its former self these days.

Still worth dwelling on, from a photography point of view, I felt...

This is through welding glass, with a suitably ridiculous exposure time.
