@karenann Lemongrass has a wonderfully pungent smell when crushed. I let it go to seed because I want it to spread a bit. In our garden I grow european herbs like thyme, rosemary, oregano as well as asian flavours such as galangal, turmeric, lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves. also grow lots of chilis too.
