Geometry of Reeds

This is the first photo in which I have successfully used the AP setting and adjusted for depth of field, and it actually worked! Success!! I also took a companion shot in which the grasses in the background are in focus and the foreground is blurry. For someone who has relied on the auto settings until now, this is huge! I obviously need A LOT of practice, but hey, baby steps, right??
Neat picture!

Nice shot Lisa! After few days of practice forget the science part of all this and just enjoy the ART section of it. Welcome to 365. Good Light!!!

This is my current goal, I want to start playing with aperture and depth of field. Fun to look back on when you were just learning.

@sjonathan Hi Jonathan, This is a blast from the past for me. I remember being so excited about his shot. I was finally starting to figure out the exposure triangle. It is pretty cool to look back and see all the learning that happened over the course of this project. You are in the right place to learn, practice and be inspired. With one photo after another your understanding will increase and your eyes will open to photographic opportunities you never noticed before. Welcome! Thanks for the follow and enjoy your project!!
