Visited the local Botanical Garden today looking for the first spring flowers. Alas, none have yet to make an appearance. Switched gears and focused on this rope fence lining the garden paths instead.
Any flower photos you could have taken couldn't have been more beautiful than this. Gorgeous. If I sit and look at it I can feel the rope in my hand, soft, but abrasive. Amazing.
you are such a good photographer...you can make nothing into something GREAT! I see you're from Idaho...we thought about moving there a year ago to Boise and heard so many good things about the community....job changed and we didn't end up moving...but boy did I want to so we could get out of the Desert and Heat her in Phoenix. I wish there was a message area to talk with all my new friends. Anyways, love your photo!
@Cheesebiscuit Thank you so much, Cheesy. I have to agree with you. It's funny how sometimes we go looking for a certain shot and then a different (and better one) finds us!
@blincodave Thank you for your comment and compliment, Dave! I am trying hard to look with an observant eye so I am glad it comes across that way to you.
@rvwalker Thank you, Ross. If you make it back to the gardens, please let me know. I actually just bought an annual membership. It's always changing and a great place to find a photo - and just take a quiet walk.
@steampowered Thank you, Paul! I first fell in love with the beautiful color and patina of the post. The surrounding colors were the perfect complement. So glad you liked it too.
@megmills Meg, you are so sweet. Thank you very much for your kind words. I feel like such a newbie at this hobby that it means the world to me that you see good stuff. Boise is a great little city with a lot to offer. If the possibility of a move should present itself again for you, be sure to let me know. I'd be happy to help with info, etc. I bet there are lots of great photo ops in your area. I love the desert landscape, although I think the heat would get to me, too. So glad to have met you here, Meg!
