I took this photo at a koi pond yesterday. It was a bright sunny day, but I attempted a low key exposure of the fish. I liked how it transformed the water from dirty green to this inky black. I also liked the simple graphic of the red spot on white.
This shot has taught me something about composition. I would never have thought about framing a shot like this. It really works, thanks for posting it!
This is lovely and i agree with you about the water. So odd though...at first, I saw this in reverse...could not see that it was a white fish with red spot. it seemed like the black was the ceiling of a cave, white was the crack letting in the sunlight, and the red was the sun or something...I was puzzled. I like that kind of photo! fav
