This photo was taken at a recently constructed white water park on the river that runs through my town. Two "waveshapers" lift flaps to create a variety of water features at different river levels. The park has become an overnight success, attracting surfers, kayakers, and plenty of spectators - like me! This girl is waiting her turn to ride the waves. I liked the lighting, her stance, and the bit of beach vibe - unusual for our inland state.
