the kind of image that is close to my heart ...simple ... uncluttered ... but oozes beauty ... that red leaf is stunning against the softness of the background and the textures of the wood .... easy Fav!!
@archaeofrog Katie, your spidey senses are right on! I did place the leaf there. I was photographing it on the ground and wishing I had some backlighting. Saw the post there with just the right little groove to hold the stem and the rest is history.. or photo as the case may be. :)
@archaeofrog I tried the same shot with a fresh, unblemished leaf thinking that would be better, but later when seeing large, appreciated the imperfections of this somewhat battered leaf.
