Walking through the historic center of Idaho Falls, I spotted these bright reflections in the windows. I liked the contrast of the building colors and styles.
Thank you all for your enthusiastic comments and favs of yesterday's post. I can't tell you how delighted each one made me!
Tomorrow I am participating in a local photography contest. The center of my town is being divided into 49 quadrants and will be randomly assigned to a photographer. We have 24 hours to photograph in our quadrant, edit, and submit up to 5 photos for judging. There will be a live critique open to the public on Saturday evening. I'm both nervous and excited about it! No matter the outcome, it will surely be a great learning experience and hopefully, a lot of fun, too. I will let you all know how it goes.
Love the bright reflections popping off from the subdued tone of the building. Great shot. Have a wonderful time with the contest. I actually sounds exciting and challenging too. I know you will do very well.
@dulciknit Thank you, Alison. I like the 6D very much. It's a pleasure to shoot with - it finds focus very quickly and has great low light ability. I think I prefer the Canon menu system to Nikon's, and I like the colors, too. I think I will be sticking with this camera for a long, long time.
another example of your awesome eye ... great contrast and comp ... Fav ... all the best for the contest ... i'd be mighty surprised if you do not make it to the top of the heap ... and that's not just fan speak ...:-)
This is a really cool reflection shot! Love the bright windows next to the dimly lit brick building. That contest sounds FUN! But it would make me nervous too. Not sure how I do when I am watched and pushing a deadline. I hope you got a good quadrant to shoot in!
The contest sounds super exciting and fun. I'm sure you will do well, you've got an excellent eye for detail.
How are you liking the 6D, Lisa?
