This beautiful view is just down the street from my home. Most mornings I admire the sunrise from the car as I take my kids to school. Finally, I decided it was time for a photograph and headed out in the cold with my camera and tripod. Luckily, the sunrise color didn't disappoint! (fyi... looks better on black.)

what a popping orange! wow. the clarity of the ridge really makes it a stunning sunrise. i like the layers too...just enough to see some details and highlight the layering.
