All New York City public schools will be open today, January 12, 2011. However, all field trips today are cancelled.

The Chancellor will make a determination as to whether after-school programs and PSAL events will go on as scheduled at 10 AM.

New York City public schools have only closed 6 times since 1978 for a total of 8 lost educational days.
