kapotasana by pocketmouse

kapotasana

This is me. I do yoga once or twice a week, and have been for about 3 years now. This pose is called kapotasana, which means 'pigeon pose' ('Kapota', pigeon; '-asana', pose). Only recently have I been able to fully achieve this pose (I had a left quad injury that prevented me from progressing in it for a few months).

This is one of THE most intense and insane poses, and is incredibly strong in the back.

And please do note the awesomess of my sexy star-patterned tights. No, I do not wear these out in public (apart from when I go to yoga).

It'd be a much nicer photo if it was taken during the day and with a serene, grassy backdrop. Maybe next time. :)
Wow. Just wow.

Holy moly woman! My question is, did you take this picture yourself, on a timer? Hopefully your timer allows you to set the time you want so that you didn't have to run and get into the pose. hehe And also, yes, I LOVE your pants!

I have been doing yoga for 20 years, and have just learned to touch both toes in this pose. I'm so impressed that you can get your heels. Amazing. This pose is insane!
