These were curious little creatures... they had these tiny bodies and big wings and funny miniature pompom-like yellow things on their legs, and they seemed to enjoy pollen!

@pocketmouse the MPE65 would be a good choice...but a bugger to use, have a look at the 100mm f2.8L IS as well, doubles as an awesome portrait lens (yes even on crop)
@aim54x Yeah I think you can get lens-mounted flashes for the MP-E 65 to compensate for the underexposure. I don't know if I'd have much to lose - doing the reverse lens macro technique is a bit of a bugger itself! I'm really keen on going bigger than 1x too - something the 100mm doesn't quite achieve.
