Arts Centre Melbourne

There is an interesting (not really) story behind this photo... yours truly left her tripod back in Sydney! So at one point on our Melbourne city travels, we walked into a Kodak store, where I purchased a gorillapod ( http://joby.com/gorillapod). I tell you what, it's a purchase I'm not regretting! This photo was actually taken with the gorillapod wrapped around a lamp post. xD It supported the entire weight of my DSLR and didn't even budge!

Excellent shot, love the light flares! And I absolutely agree Teresa! I forgot my tripod today; and I left with the full intention of taking some timed exposures; thankfully I take my gorillapod everywhere! My shot for today wouldn't have been possible without it!

Fabulous shot. I spent the last few days in Melbourne and was told by the tourist bus driver that they had stopped lighting up this building at night!

Apparently because the birds are continuously pecking and smashing the light bulbs and it was costing way too much to replace them all.
