Thank you so much for all your kind words yesterday regarding my 1200th photo!
Although I feel like my photos just aren't up to scratch at the moment... what "scratch" is, I'm not sure - but I'm definitely feeling like they're just not there...
Could be that the feeling is spilling over from the disheartening and demotivating process of job searching... Just can't believe that after 8 years of uni and discovering disillusionment within the medical field, here I am... just a bit over it.

As for the rest of it....all I can tell you is that sometimes we just have to go on and see what transpires.

@pocketmouse thanks :) will have to borrow it from someone at the club to try it out. I have a 1.8 but I don't use it often. Maybe I'll give that a go, may get half of that beautiful light :)

The 6D is amazing!! I don't have a problem with the weight at all! I used to carry a 500D around and while the 6D is heaver, the 500D feels like a small plastic toy compared to the 6D! I got used to it really quickly and now it doesn't feel heavy at all :)
@pocketmouse Thanks for the feedback. I meant to say I don't want to go up to the 5D (which is heavier) and hoped the 6D would do. Just looked it up, the 6D is less weight than my current 7D. No worries. ;)

How do you like the 6D? May upgrade in the future - but trying to keep it the weight to a minimum.
