Such a fun capture! How do you like your 6D? I have been trying to decide between this and the 5D Mark III. The obvious price difference keeps creeping up on me. Do you see any reasons you would have preferred the 5D?
@exposure4u Hi Wendy, thanks! :) I love love love love my 6D!!! Price was a major factor, probably the biggest for me. Also the fact that it's much lighter than the 5D Mk III - so easier to carry around all day. What it lacks is autofocus points - 5D has 61 (41 cross-type), vs 6D which has 11 (1 cross-type). But I really only use the centre one anyway (which is cross-type). And the 5D can also do in-camera HDR (which you have amazing skills in anyway so I'm not sure how much it would benefit you!!)... I just went with the 6D because it's smaller, lighter, less expensive and because I didn't need the bells and whistles of the 5D.
Thank you so much Teresa for your feedback! I have also been considering the lighter weight, especially since I do hiking and weight is always a concern, lol. I also use center point (since it's the most sensitive/sharp) and recompose my shots if needed, so wan't sure if the several AF points would just be cumbersome? Thank you also for the link!!
