@janek - too kind, thank you so much. I put a glass filter over this in Photoshop Elements. I tried to make it relatively subtle and I think your word "icy" if I'd have thought of that description was just what I was after. I still us Picnik more often than PSE but have been taking my photos in RAW format and doing the basic stuff re: color, exposure and such adjustments in PSE.
