A shot of Covent Garden earlier tonight taken en route to see Oliver. The title's a bit prosaic but I really can't think of anything funny or interesting or even vaguely pun-like. It's just what it is.
I like Covent Garden normally, but then I'm not usually looking to eat or shop there. However we decided to grab some dinner here tonight before the show and it wasn't great to be honest. Think I'll go back to just wandering and people watching!
Great shot of the complex. I had my first hot toddy in a pub near this center. Love the area and hope you enjoyed Oliver. (Looks cold and wet, a lot like Seattle)
So pretty. Reminds me of Piazza San Marco in Venice...we went back on christmas eve in the rain and the lights were a shiny carpet on the wet ground. There too we bought hot chocolate a couple of blocks from the square for about 70US cents and people watched in the square.
I just love this place! Been so many times but you have captured it at a really good time! You are out of your home zone aren't you?? What did you think to Oliver? Who is playing Fagin now? I know Ron Moody was considering reviving his original role.
Really really cool shot! Dont see it that quiet very often.. and yet, nearly all the places to eat there are awful! The burger bar by the tube is about the best, sadly :-(
This is a great shot of Covent garden after the rain. You have captured that wet evening winter feel - when you drink wine under the outdoor heaters lol.
Oh very cool! I went there last year when I was in the UK, so it has brought back many memories for me! Had it just been raining? (Duh, I know it is the UK) Looks shiny and new!
ooh, pretty! i love the way the light is reflected! :)
i can definitely relate with that. some places are good subjects but i wouldn't want to stay for extended periods :p
