This was the old "stop for the photographer to take his snap" conundrum. "No, no, carry on please", wait half a second and click, picture done.
Not sure where I was when I took this, was meeting Alison near Chinatown and took a few back streets to get there. This is the kind of shot I used to take a lot of in my first year and I haven't done too many recently but all the different elements in this appealed to me. Was considering cropping from just before the lamp post to get more of a thirdsy feel but couldn't bring myself to lose the open door beyond it...
Like it Rich and like the open door too...b&w would almost make this a shot from the 40s.. funny as we were chatting about this old cunundrum tonight as well...
Yea keep the door. Also spot a photo in the glass panel above the door ...may be not if it is. She looks like she needs crutch to prop her up on the other leg.
