Trees

At the start of today 4 trees stood proudly, the remains of 2 now lay on the ground, the other 2 will join them tomorrow. I'm not sure why they were cut down, but it makes me sad :(

TREES

by: Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
I was excited when I read the title..now I'm sad too. I hope it was for a good reason

@jolie37 I chatted to the workers today, sadly the trees are diseased, altogether about 8 will have to be felled; hopefully that will stop the disease spreading.
