This is the first wood creature that I found (admittedly by pure accident) way back in 2009! I was a taking a shot of Bekki sitting on this log (actually a huge tree-sized branch that had fallen, half sheared, half twisted when struck by lightning) that we'd stopped to rest upon after walking along a forest trail, and when we looked back at the photo later, unexpectedly noticed this little fella sitting there too.
I remember how long it took us to admit it was not a real toad..we just could not believe it was wood. It looked so dern real. :) Though, to be honest, we both know that if it had of been a real toad I would not have been sitting on the log anymore. lol
