Narrowboat tinware & chimney by sabresun

Narrowboat tinware & chimney

Even on a somewhat dull, overcast day this looks adamantly cheerful. This boat was moored to a piece of land that had obviously become 'home' as behind it there was a little shed and on the canalside, lots and lots of various objects. I say various objects because, it varied from plastic flowers to plastic ducks to numerous other bits of amusement.
Love the tinware !!! All our narrow boats seem to be piled high with wood on their roofs so this is very arty !!! I love the London. Manchester sign !

Kaz
Are they tea pots or painted paint tins? Very whimsical find :-)

@kazzamazoo Tins or tinware as Pat calls it. I probably should change the title to 'Narrowboat tinware & chimney.'

@kazzamazoo Btw, they aren't paint tins, Kaz. They're a particular type of tinware that are traditionally seen, and I guess at one time were used on canal boats. Typically they are painted with various colourful and bold designs.

Perky and cute! I feel like I should be spotting some little tin soldiers standing on guard somewhere in this shot.
