If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.
- C. S. Lewis
@laurentye I don't know. I may add one later though. I need to think on it. I was listening to early David Bowie while I was doing this so I think it may have influenced me (Starman, Life on Mars, Space oddity etc)
@sabresun i probably should admit although i know the name David Bowie, I have no clue about his music. Maybe i should be looking it up on youtube now.
@laurentye Oh, he's written many classic rock/pop tunes. You definitely should check him out.
@happypat The cogs are from a canal lock. The figures pasted in from something else. The rest is clone stamp jiggery with photoscape ( a free program) which is the only editing software I have.
I think your little figures have stepped out of Gulliver's Travels. But wherever they're from it's a wild, strong shot with heaps of imagination behind it. I really like it.
This is awesome, Matt!!! I love it! I wish I knew how to edit like this! You mentioned Starman. They filmed parts of it in my area. They actually did some filming where I was living at the time, but the scenes didn't make it into the movie. Fav! :0)
I heard Major Tom on the radio the other day. Synchronicity! This is a very cool shot! I love how the sharp edges of the cogs are softened by the clouds and light.
