This is really beautiful, and the detail on the moon is fantastic!! Did you catch this with your point and shoot?

@pwallis Yes. If I catch the moon in the early morning I can get it to focus. This was around 8am. At night, it's a different story.

@sabresun I tried in the morning with my point and shoot the other day, but I think the moon was still too high or something.

@pwallis It's a bit hit and miss. I can only think it focused this time because it was fooled into doing so by the treeline. There's a manual focus on my camera too, but oddly it's not intuitive to use at all. The next camera I buy will have a dial to adjust focus, that's something I'd like, to not to have to rely on any auto focus.

@sabresun yeah, I tried the auto focus on my p&s, but it was no help whatsover for shooting the moon.

You can see the path of the moon too ! Lovely clear shot of moon & tree & then the speed of the bird caught well too !

great moon shot! I find moon shots to be very challenging. and actually i also find bird shots to be very challenging. so then this is really awesome!
