Catching the morning outside the front door and carrying on the blues theme
with a classic Gary Moore song title.
A bit of trivia -
The link being or one of them, is that Peter Green gave Gary Moore a Les Paul when he was starting out. Well, he leant his own to Gary as he knew he would look after it, and then asked him how he liked it after he'd taken it away and tried it out for a couple of days. Of course, it was 'the' guitar to own and basically Peter said to him, you can have it, just sell your current guitar and give me what you get for it in return (which was worth far less) In essence, it was a trade up, a mark of respect and a gift from one musician to another. Gary still offered to return the guitar to Peter if ever he needed it, but of course he never asked for it back.
After I caught up on everything I had to get done, I went back and watched the clip. He had quite the adventure as he became more and more known. His music style is quite unique. I've never been a Blues person, but over the years, I have learned to appreciate its uniqueness, and now I find it quite enjoyable at times to listen to.
@digitalrn Gary Moore? Oh yes, he was quite an amazing guitar player, incredible sustain in his notes and tone, and not just in the genre of blues. Blues he came to much later on in his career.
I love the blue skies in Stafford. I have never seen a sky such a shade at just before evening. It seems to only happen this particular color in England.
great shot Matt, I love Gary Moore - what a great guitarist...actually you've prompted me to pull out my old albums of his and kick back and reminis...thankyou!
