I quite like the grainyness in this, and the trees conversing with the lamp posts like rival gangs. I think the trees may be asking why they aren't allowed on the other side of the path. The left hand tree seems to be pointing something at the startled lamp post. It's pretty much an immovable situation. My camera has been acting up of late and not focusing on anything properly (I'm not entirely sure why apart from when I fell, as it had been fine for a while afterwards) This is mainly why I haven't posted anything recently. It's become something of a hit and miss frustration. I went to Weston Hall to get some shots of the building, but nothing came out. This ended up being the only shot I liked.
Halt! Who goes there? The lamp post on the left looks like it's got a rifle.
From what I've read - and it is only what I've read, so I may have got it wrong - faults like the one you're describing can sometimes take a while to show up after the event. I hope you can get it fixed easily.
@dulciknit I don't think it's worth fixing to be honest as it's not a very expensive camera. I should really just upgrade it, and have been intending to for some time now. Part of me wants to, another part of me doesn't want to spend the money! Being only an amateur I'm not sure I can justify buying something more expensive. By that I mean buying the type of camera I really hanker after.
@dulciknit Good question. Not sure how I missed this, but somehow it didn't show up. Okay, I do like the Canon 60D and the Lumix G range, possibly the latest one, the G5. That price bracket is about as far as I wish to go for now. I'll probably go for a second hand Lumix G3 which I think can produce very good results.
Matt, you should buy the camera you want. I really was hesitant to spend the money on my Canon Rebel. I gave in and I'm so glad I did. I go outside with my camera and all my troubles float away for awhile. :0)
