Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Ian James Dudson.
I had a good chat with him, at the lighting of the beacon at Stafford park (beacons were lit around the country for the Queen's 90th Birthday) I asked him how often he gets to wear the uniform and he said that he received around 400 invitations a year, of which he selects 50. So, pretty much every week! A really nice guy. One little boy came up to him and asked, 'Is your sword fake?' To which he chuckled.
Incidentally, the red garment to the left is the robe of the Mayor of Stafford, and you can just see the chain of office. That chain is valued at an amazing £180,000.
