What, have you never seen a Camel in the snow before?

It is 23 degrees above Zero out and this Camel is dining on some hay, standing in the snow. I see nothing odd about that. LOL

I know our area of the US would be desert except for the irrigation, but I think he took a wrong turn on the freeway somewhere. But what a great photo. Give us the story of this?? Why is he here? And where is it?

@aglennc Well this is the corral of a Vets office. I do not know the story, but the camel has been there for several years and seems very healthy. School kids come and visit the animals

Isn't it weird it can live in the snow when it can also trek across a desert? Animals are so resilient.

You know at first you think "camels don't belong in the snow!" But I think they also live in Mongolia and that has snow, so I guess they can survive the extreme heat and extreme cold. But it does make for a great shot- definitely worth that second look!

It gets very cold in the desert in the winter depending on where you are.
