Love the red in contrast to all the white! Beautifully composed shot! You can keep the snow where you are, please! I need some sunshine... even if the temperatures are in the 30's!
@cejaanderson Thanks Jane... most of the barns are different though I did post one of this same barn on November 15th. Unfortunately, none are mine but I sure get to see a bunch of them every day.
@calm@stimuloog@irishmamacita10@tstb@cejaanderson - Thank you all for your support. We have already gotten 2 small snow storms here in the Washington, DC area after not getting much over the last 3 years so perhaps I will finally get to use the snow blower I bought 3 years ago this winter.
hope you are enjoying the snow my friend ... this one dissipated quite quick ... Wonderful image - like the use of color to contrast the white. BTW - are we meeting this year?
@cindy_k I actually just keep it in the case until the last moment. It then gets pretty wet but I dry it off with a towel once I'm back inside. I do have a hood over the lens which helps keep it clear when the snow is coming down hard.
@friend2303 It was incredibly fun... I'm still a child when it comes to snow. I suspect we'll have to wait and meet next year given everything that's going on. I have my email address on my public profile here if you want to connect that way. Hope you enjoyed the day as well. Will take a look at photos later tonight by the fire ;-).
Beautiful shot. Not sure I share your enthusiasm though. I love looking at snow, but don't want to be in it. (36 degrees C here yesterday - 95 degrees F). I think your snow would melt here.
I love how the falling snow gives the picture a nice sense of texture. I also like the color of the barn, would not have been such a charming shot had the barn been another color.
