These are Sandhills Cranes in Ellenton, Florida. The babies are just two weeks old. I set up ahead to photograph them and they got within an arms length to check me out.
And this happens to be photo #365. I've decided to post daily for a few more days and then take a break from photographing/posting to instead focus on viewing and commenting on all of your terrific photos since I have been so bad on commenting over the past months. More on that in a few days.
A big congratulations to you, Scott! You are such a phenomenal photographer, and although I do not comment that often, I look forward to your posts each day. This is a wonderful photo to be #365!
This is so cute! Love the contrast between the babies and the parents - those legs are so funny - beautifully caught. And a big congratulations on 365!
Congratulations Scott! Well done! Although I don't always comment, I do visit your project almost daily as I so enjoy your beautiful work. I hope that you will continue to post, at least occasionally if not daily. This is a fun shot. They were certainly giving you the eye!
Fabulous birds. So cool that they let you get so close.
