Riley's Lock by sbolden

Riley's Lock

Riley's lock house (visible upper right) and aqueduct was built between 1828-1833 along the C&O Canal in Poolesville, Maryland. The left-most arch (partially obscured by branches) was destroyed by a flood in 1971.

This is a 3-image HDR long-exposure compilation of 150 seconds, 240 seconds and 400 seconds.

Wonderful shot! Fav! I love the C&O Canal and its lock houses. I have a funny story about Poolesville, its homecoming parade and my husband and I showing up for a bike ride wearing school colors by happenstance.

Very nice treatment with lovely natural tones. Such a change from so many of the pseudo HDR attempts we see with images distorted beyond belief. Big FAV!
