Disappearing Tourists by sbolden

Disappearing Tourists

At the site of the Jefferson Memorial (Washington, DC) this morning with sun struggling through the clouds... As the climate cools, the tourists are diminishing.
Great processing and perspective.

Very dramatic and I think it's interesting that the memorial and the clouds are the same mottled and muted tones-- very wintery.

Wow, this is wonderful Scott. Is it HDR? If so, you could tag it for the current technique challenge, just use the tag technique33.

Great processing. Last time I was there was during the peak of the cherry blossoms. Pandemonium! Great to see the actual memorial.

@thirdjoe Thanks Joe! This is a 3-image HDR compilation using Luminance. I then finished the resulting image using Snapseed and then PhotoToaster on my iPad. Hope that helps.

@sbolden Thanks for the info, Scott. Unlike some HDR photos that I see, the processing you used really works. It doesn't look unrealistic. I haven't tried HDR but I will have to give it a shot sometime.

I like the similar tones in the monument and the sky. What is the black object off on the stairs?

@francoise Thanks... I'm not sure what that was. Next time, I'll walk over and check it out.
