My dad (U.S. Marine Corps, WWII) wanted us to keep his medals to remember him by. I remember taking this photo a few years ago and feeling the emotion when I clicked the shutter because I knew it would become a rememberance one day... and indeed it has.
So thank you to all Veterans and those who actively serve!

Very nice pic of your Dad and his medals. My Dad had his medals framed very similar to that. The WWII men from the greatest generation are leaving us at an alarming rate. They saved the world for future generations.
I know how you feel. My sister took all my father's army memorabilia but I do have some of the pictures of him in the service. He served in WWII as well. This is a wonderful remembrance.
